The ATM machine was out of order. I was out of cash, and the shop next door doesn't accept credit card. It was too late to cancel the purchase without getting the salesgirl in trouble with her boss, so with a heavy heart, I returned to the shop which was about to close.
"How much more do I owe you?"
She mentioned a very small sum.
Arggghh, if only I've carried more cash with me. I apologised to her and offered to cancel an item from the sales purchase.
"It's ok, consider the sale's done," she said cheerfully.
"Eh, no.. how do I pay you back?"
"No, don't say you owe me. I'm doing this willingly, because who knows.. in the future when I'm in your shoes somebody else might help me," she said earnestly.
I stared at her. Yes, she really meant it.
Alhamdulillah. I thanked her and after salam, left the shop with the items. It's not everyday I'm able to meet such wonderful people, so I'm considering it as a divine intervention, huhuhu. Thanks a lot, Masnizar. Your kind act strengthen my faith in the goodness among people, particularly Muslims. May Allah swt reward you for your kindness. InsyaAllah I'd visit the shop again soon, with lots of hard cash :P.
