Alhamdulillah, our prayers are answered.
I had initially wanted to wait for another 3 weeks but bouts of nauseousness and loss of appetite forced me to go to the clinic yesterday [shows how 'patient' I really am, hehehee].
"Yes, it's positive.. there it is," said the lady doctor as she did the ultrasound.
"6 weeks," she continued, measuring the size of the fetus.
"6 weeks?" I croaked, as I had initially thought that I was only in the 4th week. So, the special event had occurred during Ramadhan. And gosh, I had actually survived shifting to a new house in my new state of health.
Thanks for all your kind wishes and prayers. Really appreciate them.
So another new chapter in my life is beginning to unfold itself.
How is it like? So far, so good, alhamdulillah. Just some nauseousness at any time of the day but thankfully, I have managed to control it.
In fact, I surprised myself by bravely driving alone to and fro daily, from home across Penang bridge to busy Georgetown for a 3- day International Conference on Literacy which ended today, with just a map of the island as my guide. And yes, I had a wonderful time listening to educationists talk about their researches.
Perhaps being pregnant has made me bolder? hahahaa..
I don't know what Allah has in His plan for me, why this challenge now, but I'm taking one day at a time.
At present, I'm just going to enjoy being pregnant, pray for the best, take good care of my health and continue writing, insyaAllah. Being pregnant for the first time at age 38 is risky but I trust Allah to provide the best for me.
Now, where are the kurma and raisins before the next wave of urrghhhhh comes ?
[internet slow so sorry, can't put up any pic]
