Salam. It was a very interesting talk yesterday. Did you come? By the way Im from usm.
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam bell,
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't attend the talk. Husband was busy and it's too risky to drive alone at night, in my pregnant state. Glad you find it interesting. Care to share, about the event?
Salam alaik.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation for you coming baby.
About the talk. I really thought it going to be like a ahmad deedat kind a interfaith dialogue at first. But quite interesting because all 4 speakers who represent Islam, Christian,Buddha and Hindu gave their opinion on peace & happiness.
The audience, have to say almost 50% of the seat are taken by the mukminat Alhamdulillah.
Basicaly all 4 of the speaker 'inviting'/ encouraging people to find our common ground, which is peace in every religion.
The talk was on fire during the second session (my favorite) the Q&A slot. There's one question about the word GOD for ALLAH issue which really intersting because the christian's speaker tried to defence while bro Slyvester(the muslim speaker) rejected it. So there is small debate there which I think can be clarify especially to the christians why most muslims rejected the idea.
As for me, I remain neutral :)
May Allah bless you.
Waalaikumussalam bell,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the doa. Alhamdulillah I'm just back from a short holiday :)
Yes, a Q&A slot is always interesting. I've not met bro Sylvester for a few years but I've always enjoyed his talks. Do inform us here of any new upcomings at USM, k.
All the best to you too.
