Yeah, I'm growing olde...Waalaikumussalam azlan,
Yeah, I'm growing older, huhuhu..and that place is so far away from home. The school still exists although with a different administration.InsyaAllah, I'll pay a visit one day, if I can get my other half to join me.Anyway, I'd be organizing a class reunion soon, once my house is ready. It's been 21 years since I met my former schoolmates, the Chinese, Malays, Indians, etc.Would be great to meet again.aliyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218183427774411196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218313360696306951.post-18619704680782905732009-07-03T02:45:23.017+08:002009-07-03T02:45:23.017+08:00salaam kak Aliya..

as for the food you said here its...Assalamualaikum

as for the food you said here its really good. its our (i mean east coast folks) staple diet, regardless what race you're. we really, really loved sea food or sea food based like laksa, laksam, otak-otak or sata. not to forget keropok lekor. we love sea food as the southern states and creoles (in USA) loves BBQ and grilled meats.

the only problem is when you're lived in town area like where i'm living (kuantan), the food tend to corrupt. not the food itself actually, but the food operators.

i can feels the local east coast signature dishes are not as good as it was 15 or 20 years ago. especially here in kuantan where many outsiders from west coast residing here. some of them got involved in food business, try to immitate our food and modified it, to less then acceptable result.

i think terengganu is more pristine food than kuantan.

_______________________________

kak Aliya,

you get quite a melancholy on this one. maybe sometime you need to walk down the memory lane yourself.

its maybe our sense of 'missing' the things which are now forever gone.

i sometime also have that feelings comes. one of the bitter sweet memories happened to me, that its memory keep coming to me even in my dream was when i'm was in matriculation.

i enrolled into iium in mid 1990's, at pantai baru, near UM, where is now maktab perguruan institut bahasa. it was closed down since. our economy was really thriving well then. its was the time of no worry, almost carefree. we got our scholarship, no worry of paying back.

i still have my youth then. now when i'm looking back there are some little memories i'm cherished, and much, much more memories i'm regretting it. regret the foolishness when i'm was young.

sometime when i'm going to kl, i still pay a visit there and other places that i'm used to lived. most things i used to know now was gone, but i still can see it in my dream.

sorry kak Aliya for getting sentimental tonight. maybe its a price to pay for getting older.

WasalamAzlan Ahmadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17855882481022165588noreply@blogger.com
